Tool Deployment Guide#

The following instructions are for deploying Developer Application and Tools on the User and Compute nodes.

Prerequisites#

This guide is written for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 based operating system which is operating within a cluster of systems and the following are the prerequisites:

Deployment Steps#

Note

Instructions assume execution using the root account.

  1. Install Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) Repository:

dnf -y install epel-release
dnf -y distro-sync

  1. Install user packages

dnf -y install \
    filezilla emacs meld geany \
    vim-X11 cmake p7zip \
    ncurses ncurses-devel \
    lm_sensors lm_sensors-devel \
    hwloc hwloc-libs gnome-tweaks
